What would the Earth look like if we were all the same? In a world that is filled with many who try to blend in-camouflaging and hiding their
true selves, it causes the world to lose its vibrant color and personality. Hiding is hiding your inner beauty, not allowing yourself to blossom into whom you are meant to be. Yet, embracing who you are, sprouting, not being afraid of standing out causes you to bloom like a
beautiful water lily that displays its lively features.
After a long wait, I was ecstatic to go into the Canyon and explore what it had to offer. When I walked into it, it felt like I walked through a portal and stepped into a new world. The shapes my eyes had ever seen or imagined appeared in front of me with different colors and textures. As the sun shifted throughout the day, different hidden shapes could be seen and different colors were intensified whether it be this canyon’s reds, yellows, oranges, pinks, or purples, the colors were extraordinary. One of the tour guides had told me that it takes an imagination and an open mind to explore this canyon because it speaks to people and reveals itself as long as you listen. I was intrigued and as I looked at the canyon with this new perspective, a hidden bear formed in front of me, molded between the canyons rocks.
It took me quite a bit of time to find this eccentric tree. What felt like being lost on a mystical journey, finding this tree was an endeavour that was worth the drive. As I approached this tree and recognized its individuality, I realized that it was worthy of a great photograph which would show off its unique features. With this came having to patiently wait for the sun to move to the perfect spot which would then appear to have the entire tree glistening due to the sun’s rays. This beautiful shot was worth the long wait as it is scenes like this which reveal the beauty and uniqueness of the trees in our world.
Nature has a way of revealing its gentle yet immesarble presence. With these rocks ranging over 50ft high, its overwhelming height still gave me a sense of peace and security. The many different layers within the rocks were brightened and intensified through the sun’s light, showing the crisp lines running all throughout the canyon. While I was paused, looking up at these massive rocks, I saw the shape of a woman’s face and neck be formed through the rocks. It made me imagine as if this was mother nature physically showing herself through the rocks through an illustration of a woman’s face looking up, stretching forwards. The Indians call this rock “The Lady in the Wind.”
