As I had driven eleven days to capture a classic shot of the snow in the winter it felt as if I entered an enchanted forest. The wind was chilly, the ground felt soft, and the temperature was low, but my determination was unrelenting.
It was tranquil scenery that was surrounded by nothing but nature. No roads nearby, no city action, just the sound of the wind making the leaves bristle causing the gentle and light snowfall to sway to the ground
Autumn colors and the beauty of this magnificent fall bring joy to the heart. When you stand in front of this charming waterfall you marvel at the beauty and magnitude of it. The sounds of it bring a calm and freshness to your body, soul and mind like on other sounds of nature can. The bridge between the mighty rocks gaive an exclusive characteristic to this tall waterfall. The vibrant colors of autums and the outpouring sounds of the fall makes one peaceful and hopeful. There is no other place you want to be when you stand in front of this outstanding waterfall.
The sound of rocks rustling as I drove on the North Pacific Ocean road slowed as I approached a sign that said “Sonic View” This caught my attention and as I followed where the sign pointed, it felt as if I entered a dream. Everything felt unimaginable and surreal. The warm yellows and sound of waves crashing made me feel a peace I had never experienced before. The clouds, full and soft, took over and appeared as if Heaven was coming down onto Earth. The world was still moving, but my world felt still.
I was looking for a field of lilies and stumbled at this magical scenery. While I was taking photographs I realized that there was no place quite like it. Hundreds of thousands of lilies occupied this field with a nearby narrow stream a few yards to the left leading to the ocean. The tranquil flow of water, calm breeze, and chirping of birds heading back to their nests as the day drawed to an end made me feel comforted and warm inside.
This valley caught my eye as the vast number of lilies extended far out into the horizon. The strong floral smell and picturesque scenery made me feel secure and comforted, reminding me of home. The great number of flowers reminded me that being together with the ones you love is what produces comfort and openness. Just like the flowers open petals reaching up towards the warm sun, love is a similar warm feeling.
