Many things in this world pass, but the Earth will continue to move on. As I waited patiently by the river for the thick fog to move away from the viridescent hills, I watched and listened to a creaking boat that was anchored, spinning in circles. Just as the fog had cleared, the boat was facing the shore and as I snapped a shot, seven birds flew in to be
included in this photograph.
The way the world works by bringing the elements of wind, water, and season together is breathtaking. The deep blue water spinning the boat around, the air pushing the fog, and the seasons moving the birds through migration, all of these elements work and come together to form this admirable shot.
Walking by the green hills with lofty trees and cool blue water numbed me from the bright colors this world has to offer. When I saw this vibrant yellow tree, it was like a shock that hypnotized me, making me want to walk closer to it. It was the only tree of its kind placed on the hill. Like a magnet, it drew me in. I immediately set up my equipment and waited for the warm and bright sun to shine through the branches to save the look and singularity of this tree. This foreground creates a unique view to the greenish and bluish Olympic Peninsula.
While I was searching for a scene that was open to photography, I was approached by this pleasurable Indegineous man who had offered me to
take photographs of the land he owned. As he drove me to this vast scenery, I was struck with the many fascinating components that my
inner-photographer mind, heart, and soul admired.
As the sun rose and its golden rays shined on the rocks’ mittens’, this enhanced the rocks shape and size, making them appear larger and more prominently. The West and East Mitten Buttes that were rising above the ground were brought to life because of the sun’s ability to stretch out its light to the ends of the Earth. Not only was it the sun, but also the clouds’ warm colors that held this photograph together as it continued the landscape’s theme of a large-scale, intimate, and warm atmosphere.
It took me quite a bit of time to find this eccentric tree. What felt like being lost on a mystical journey, finding this tree was an endeavour that was worth the drive. As I approached this tree and recognized its individuality, I realized that it was worthy of a great photograph which would show off its unique features. With this came having to patiently wait for the sun to move to the perfect spot which would then appear to have the entire tree glistening due to the sun’s rays. This beautiful shot was worth the long wait as it is scenes like this which reveal the beauty and uniqueness of the trees in our world.
